Trim Levels
There are seven different 2020 Ford F-150 trims on the market: the XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Limited, and Raptor. As you approach all seven trucks, the first thing that catches your eye is the strength of the body. The box of all seven trims features four different tie-down points for your gear. If you choose the SuperCab model of the trucks, you'll get a 170-degree rear door that allows for quick access to the cab. There are several features that make each trim level unique. The XL stands out with its black two-bar style grille with black nostrils. One glance and you know it's ready for work. With the Lariat, you can add skid plates to protect the truck during your off-road fun. King Ranch owners enjoy a standard box link that lets you secure a variety of accessories during your drive, and a two-tone paint scheme catches people's attention while you are out. The Raptor features a grille with Ford spelled out in block letters.
Engine
Under the hood of these powerful trucks is one of six different engines for you to choose from depending on your plans for the truck. The 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine produces 375 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. It gives you enough power to haul up to 13,200 pounds. For a diesel option, try the 3.0-liter power stroke turbo diesel that gives you 250 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque with the ability to haul 11,500 pounds. The Limited and Raptor trims use a high-output 3.5-liter twin-turbo 24-valve Ecoboost engine that creates 450 horsepower. Another option is the 2.7-liter Turbocharged Ecoboost with a powerful 325 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. For added strength, there is the 5.0-liter TI-VCT V-8 engine with a robust 395 horsepower. The final option is the 3.3-liter TI-VCT V-6 that works with a six-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
When it comes to performance, the F-150 focuses on towing anything you need. To make towing easier, a dynamic hitch assist with a line of sight guide directs you to the best way to direct the hitch to the trailer receiver. There are also factory-installed trailer brakes to give you more control over your load on the road.
Interior
The interior of the trucks features the FordPass Connect system. You can use it to connect to your FordPass app and check on your vehicle from anywhere. The app allows you to monitor your fuel and remotely start the car. An eight-inch productivity screen lets you easily track your fuel data and towing information at a glance. It is standard in the Lariat, King Ranch, Limited, and Platinum trims and available for in the others.
Safety Features
All of the F-150 trims feature the Ford Co-Pilot 360 system with trailer coverage. It allows you to see your trailer as you drive so you know if someone is beside you before you change lanes.
