Trim Levels
There are four trim levels available for the 2020 Ford Fusion: the S, SE, SEL, and Titanium. As you approach these four cars, their sleek lines attract your eyes. Check out the grille, and you'll see head-turning designs. The Titanium features a chrome mesh grille that stands out. The SE and SEL both have a black five-bar design with a chrome surround. Do you enjoy the feeling of the air in your hair as you drive? Add the available moon roof to all four cars for more light and fresh air as you drive.
Engine
Your engine choice depends on your trim option. Three different engines power the four cars. The S runs with a 2.5-liter i-VCT engine. It lets the car get 31 mpg on the highway and pairs with a six-speed automatic transmission for a smooth ride. The SE and SEL see the engine change to a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine. It features auto stop/start technology and works with a six-speed automatic transmission.
Titanium owners enjoy the power of a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine. The block pairs with a six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. There is steering wheel mounted paddle shifters for more control under varying conditions. It comes standard with the all-wheel-drive powertrain.
Performance
When it comes to performance, this car focuses on stretching your time between gas stops. The S, SE, and SEL all get 23 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. The Titanium sees these numbers change just slightly. It gets 21 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the open road.
Interior
Step inside these five passenger cars, and you'll notice comfort and technology surrounding you. All four trims have a 60/40 split backseat that lets you adjust the seating and cargo configurations to your needs. The S features an AM/FM stereo with MP3 capability. Its seats feature manual controls for both the driver and front passenger. The SE builds on these features by adding satellite radio and the Sync3 infotainment system. For SEL owners, you will get to enjoy these features plus ActiveX seating material that is stain-resistant and built for an active lifestyle. There are also heated front seats and a dual-zone automatic temperature control system to keep everyone comfortable if you are carpooling for your commute. The Titanium finishes the interior upgrades with a 12-speaker HD radio that features a CD player, MP3 capability, and premium speakers.
Safety Features
All four cars feature the Ford Co-Pilot 360 safety suite. The blind spot monitor gives you an extra set of eyes during heavy rush hour traffic. It alerts you through chimes and lights if someone is in your blind spot. The lane-keeping system alerts you if the car starts to drift without you turning on your turn signal. Pre-collision alerts give you enough time to react before potential crashes. If you do not respond in time, it applies the emergency brakes to avoid the collision and injuries.
